April 1: Ultimate Jam – Top Stars Play Rock-Pop Milestones Together On Big Stage

These artists have never shared a stage before. The “Ultimate Jam” is a top-class allstar concert with world-famous musicians from Rock, Pop, Metal, Soul & Blues. Warning, lots of great names follow!

Accompanied by a high-profile backing band headed by musical director Siggi Schwarz (Steve Lukather, Billy Bibbons, Chris Norman) star guests like Bernie Marsden (Whitesnake, UFO, Babe Ruth), Don Airey (Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Jeff Beck), Jennifer Batten (Michael Jackson), Pete York (The Spencer Davis Group, Eric Clapton, Klaus Doldinger) as well as exceptional singer Andreas Kümmert (The Voice of Germany) and Fingerstyle- and YouTube-Star Alexandr Misko bring in the highest level music-wise.

On the opening day of the Musikmesse, Wednesday, April 1st 2020 the Ultimate Jam as well as the workshops and clinics, where the stars share their knowledge of the instrument, will be free of charge for all visitors to the Musikmesse and festival wristband holders – so long as there is any room left. 2,000 people fit in front of the modern main stage. However, there will also be a limited contingent of special tickets for guaranteed admission.

April 2: Randy Rhoads Remembered – European Premiere of the Memorial Show for Ozzy’s Legendary Guitarist

He is regarded as one of the most influential guitarists of all time: In 1980 Randy Rhoads made his way into the history books of rock as a congenial partner of Ozzy Osbourne on the legendary “Blizzard of Ozz” album. 40 years later, on April 2nd 2020, the project “Randy Rhoads Remembered” pays tribute to this style-defining era and sets a musical monument to the US-American who died far too early.

The all-star band around drummer Brian Tichy revives the memory. It’s the first and unique show in Europe dedicated to the joint work of Rhoads and Osbourne. Onboard there are giants like Phil Soussan (Billy Idol, Steve Lukather, Vince Neil, Johnny Hallyday), Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal (Guns N’ Roses, Asia) and Christian Brady (Hellyeah, Magna-Fi).

These big names will also be on the road at the Musikmesse workshops and clinics in addition to the show. Guitar talents will have the opportunity to perform together with the stars in a contest.

April 3 and 4: Home of Drums – New Community Hub With Workshops, Top Brands And Greats in the Music Scene

A packed playground for the drummer scene – naturally including test stations to try out for yourself. At Musikmesse 2020, for the first time the international drum industry will initiate an innovative meet-up concept for drummers and percussionists from all over the world. Numerous exhibitors (DW, Gretsch, Paiste, Pearl, Remo, Roland, Zildjian,…) and their artists such as John Riley or Alex Landenburg are directly involved in the event and workshop programme.

Home of Drums is product presentation, knowledge transfer, concert and performance. Who likes nerd talking with professionals: Welcome! Event premiere is on April 3rd and 4th.
