From 16 to 19 September 2026, Reeperbahn Festival turns Hamburg’s St. Pauli district into Europe’s biggest club festival: hundreds of shows in the venues around the Reeperbahn, plus a conference drawing delegates from all over the world. For artists it’s a springboard; for event organizers it’s the most efficient scouting week of the year.   • David Ost — alternative pop somewhere between James Blake, Bon Iver and Sam Fender. Debut single “Liar” landed on Spotify’s Fresh Finds, and he’s already played the Elbphilharmonie.
  • Die Cigaretten — self-styled “hypergrunge”: German lyrics over noisy riffs. New Colossus Festival in New York, BBC airplay, signed to Audiolith — and now a home game.
  • Fheels — alternative rock with a blues and psychedelic streak, equally strong plugged in or unplugged.

From across the Channel: UK indie & alternative

  • English Teacher — art-indie from Leeds and one of the hottest names on the bill: winners of the 2024 Mercury Prize.
  • DAYTIME TV — alternative rock from Edinburgh; supported Two Door Cinema Club and played to 60,000 people at Murrayfield Stadium.
  • WRKHOUSE — dark alt-pop from Cardiff, singing in Welsh and English; picked by BBC Cymru Fyw as ones to watch.
  • DeadWax — four-piece from Huddersfield fusing grime and nu metal. A very British genre clash that hits hard live.

Pop & songwriting from the German-speaking world

  • Amistat — twin brothers Josef and Jan making folk pop with tight harmonies; Berlin-based via Melbourne, toured Australia and half of Europe.
  • Another Nguyen — empowering electropop from Berlin: punchy synths, introspective lyrics.
  • Kurpark — the Vienna project of producer Patrick Vanek; debut single “Chaos” was all over Austria’s FM4 in 2025.
  • Muryel — leftfield pop from Berlin, all voice and feeling; has toured with Juli and Max Giesinger.
  • Port Noo — Irish melancholia with a Berlin address; has worked with Tom Osander (Damien Rice) among others.
  • Still Talk — melancholic emo-pop from Cologne, led by songwriter Tanja Kührer — for everyone who rates Boygenius and Jimmy Eat World.
  • tosha — urban pop with a rap edge from Berlin, “a bit edgy, a bit mainstream”; played Parookaville in 2024.
  • Udo West — pop meets funk with German lyrics: fat drums, synths and a healthy dose of Neue Deutsche Welle.

Loud & heavy

  • Mudfight — pop punk from Gmunden, Austria, with funk and metalcore thrown in; debut album on SBÄM Records, mastered by Bill Stevenson (Descendents).
  • SKIRT. — uncompromising heavy-meets-punk, straight out of Berlin.

North & east: from Copenhagen to Tallinn

  • A Mess — feminist power pop from Copenhagen; debut EP “WOMAN” earned five-star reviews and MTV Germany airtime.
  • Spacestation — shoegaze meets krautrock meets 60s psychedelia, from Reykjavík; won Iceland’s Kraumur Award 2023 and topped the country’s biggest rock station.
  • Puuluup — self-declared “neozombiepostfolk”: two talharpas, a loop station and plenty of humour. Estonian Music Award winners.
  • The Boondocks — gritty, guitar-driven rock’n’roll from Pärnu; multiple Estonian Music Award wins.
  • YASMYN — a hypnotic mix of R&B, trap and house from Tallinn; debut album “SlowFall” was nominated for an Estonian Music Award.

Global & experimental

  • Le Parody — Madrid: African folk, flamenco beats and a rave attitude; the album “Hondo” has passed a million Spotify plays.
  • Tarta Relena — vocal duo from Barcelona bridging centuries-old Mediterranean tradition and electronica. Goosebumps guaranteed.
  • Taroug — organic electronica from Düsseldorf: rare instruments from around the world, field recordings and analogue synths; debut album on Denovali.
