Press Release: Piano Act Wanted for New Concert Format

Berlin, November 5, 2020 – Right at the beginning of the lockdown month of November, digital piano manufacturer CASIO, the modern classical label Neue Meister, music video producer Berlin Sessions and the booking platform gigmit present a new concert format, which brings innovative music and high-end hybrid piano sound into the club or into ears at home: Neue Meister Sessions. For the kick-off on December 4, 2020, in the Berlin event location Kaos, an artist or act from the modern/contemporary classical genre is sought until November 24.

The conditions: 1.000€ fixed fee for a high-reach live streaming concert on the CASIO CELVIANO Grand Hybrid GP-510, which will be awarded as a gift afterwards, as well as a Neue Meister single release.

“We have united a diverse range of competencies in the music industry”, says Natascha Bader, who is responsible for the project at the Berlin Matchmaker gigmit. “We have a digital piano that sounds like a grand piano even on a smaller stage. We have a label that offers a new stage, especially to young composers. And we have two established platforms from Berlin – one for videos and one for booking and artist discovery. This combination is a win-win situation for everyone involved – including the artists and the people who are sitting at home and want to see live concerts again.”

Already booked for the first Neue Meister session is the musical jack-of-all-trades, producer and pianist Arnold Kasar, who combines piano and electronic sounds to create his very own world of sound.

With the revolutionary CELVIANO Grand Hybrid, CASIO has written the next chapter in the history of the piano. These new digital pianos were developed in collaboration with C. Bechstein and feature three world-renowned piano sounds in one instrument. Celviano Grand Hybrid Series instruments reproduce the sound, keyboard characteristics, and playing feel of a concert grand piano, providing a playing experience that is otherwise only known from an acoustic grand piano. The top model of the Grand Hybrid Series, the GP-510 (RRP 4,499€), sets new standards once again: here the loudspeaker system, touch response and samples have been further optimized.
