But First: Who Is TEAC?

TEAC, founded over 65 years ago, is a leading provider of innovative electronic products for both consumers as professionals. It´s a history centered around recording and sound.

The first product TEAC made: the TD-102 reel-to-reel recorder
The first product TEAC made: the TD-102 reel-to-reel recorder

It all began over  65 years ago when a young Japanese engineer, Mr. Katsuma Tani, introduced the TD-102 reel-to-reel tape recorder to the world. That started an innovative, young, and enthusiastic company named Tokyo Television Acoustic Company’ which became known simply as TEAC. Since that time, TEAC have continued Mr. Tani’s passion for music and recording, and generated a whole range of audio and video products under the brands TASCAM (professional recording equipment), Esoteric (High end Audio) and TEAC (Turntables, Cassette players and other premium audio equipment). Creating technological firsts over the years, TEAC is synonymous with quality and engineering design that remains faithful to the founders passion.

1972: A-450 – A Cassette Tape Deck aiming for further stability.
1968: A-20 – The first stereo cassette tape recorder made in Japan.
1977: 80-8 – The 8 track tape recorder spreading sound across the galaxy.

From the early days of reel-to-reel decks to today’s digital age of high-resolution playback, media has changed dramatically, but TEAC’s vision remained the same. They are committed to continue to provide products that are made with the utmost care and attention, for people just like you who love music.

What Are TEAC’s Products?

Let us show you just 4 recent examples of important TEAC products, so you can see how much this company focuses on quality and sound. Well, let us assure you: when your music is played through these devices, it definitely has a different character than streamed through your phone.

What Does the Cooperation with TEAC Look Like In Concrete Terms?

HIGH END 2022 Munich

From May 19 to 22, 2022, the leading international audio show HIGH END will take place in Munich. Here TEAC will officially announce the 4 Recording Tomorrow Artists. “These acts make the sound we want to play through our systems! Please give them a listen!” Maybe you even feel like being there live or even performing? The 21,000 trade visitors of the HIGH END would surely be happy too…

IFA 2022 Berlin

For the “world’s most significant technology marketplace,” IFA 2022, which takes place September 2-6 in Berlin, your music will now even be presented on vinyl. Here, for example, in 2019, over 200,000 visitors, nearly 2,000 industry partners, and over 5,000 media representatives would have had the chance to enjoy your sound.

The strictly limited vinyl will finally be given to the very most important TEAC customers. Quite cool, where your music will then be played privately…

What Are the Requirements for My Music?

Your sound should blow us away. When applying, you will be asked for the song you would like to be featured with and which should be on the vinyl. Please provide 1-3 examples here. The songs don’t have to be exclusive or unreleased. The only requirement is that the song may be published by TEAC on the vinyl sampler without affecting the rights of third parties – e.g. your label or your publisher. Please clarify this in advance! We at gigmit recommend: take your hit!

Only One Song?

Ok, ok, you’re making the sound of tomorrow and it’s worth having more than one song of yours on the vinyl sampler? Well then, put a link in the application! Show us either another song or, what TEAC would also really like, would be a remix of your song for the B-side.

The better your application/artist page, the faster you will be on board.

What Do I Get?

There is 1.000€ compensation, additional equipment from TEAC, remarkable promotion, and close cooperation with a quality company, where it is not yet foreseeable to which heights it will catapult you and your music. All in all, a jackpot! Now you know, tell your favorite band too, and apply here – if you haven’t already.

Good luck!
