What’s new in the INES#talent pool?

 

INES#talents have many new releases available for our community to discover. First EPs, albums, new tracks or videos and more have been released. Let’s have a look at this year’s releases…

INES#talent is a programme enabling promising talents from all participating countries to drive their international careers forward by performing at showcase festivals all over Europe. Since 2018, over 400 European artists have joined the pool for a duration of 2 years. 

New tracks in spite of corona

The INES#talent programme is most and foremost aimed at promoting new music. Since 2020 has been short on live shows, #talents have been very inspired and released a bunch of new tracks. You will find them all in our INES#talent New Releases playlist on Spotify. 

New music videos releases

Several INES#talents have also released new videos to their latest music releases. We put together a YouTube playlist for you to discover and present you a couple of them to check out below. Congratulations to Erith, Genuine Jacks, Skeemers, The Lemon Lovers, Solo Ansamblis and all other INES#talents who produced incredible video artworks to illustrate their new tracks.

Digital live shows but not only…

Playing an actual live show was a real struggle this year. Nevertheless our INES#talents still managed to play both digital and live performances. INES#festival Waves Vienna and took place in September and broadcasted many performances by INES#talents.

Crush, Das Bisschen Totschlag, Jakob Kobal and Karpov Not Kasparov played a session for Waves Vienna 2020.

Jakob Kobal (SI)

2020 has been a particularly successful year for the Electropop duo from Germany ÄTNA. They participated at Reeperbahn Festival 2020 and won the Anchor Award.

Live at Heart 2020 also took place and included performances by Agata Karcezewska, Sofia Vivere, ATZUR, Lobo Interestelar, Please Madame, Lily Arbor and Stray Dogg. You can watch them all here

As you may know already, gigmit launched a series of online showcases to give artists a stage. Two of the selected talents for the first edition were Agata Karcezewska and Moriah Woods.

Sketches on Duality will play at Monkey Week 2021.

Trending Talents based on fan and streaming data

This year, gigmit introduced the INES#talent GROWTH CHARTS based on fan and streaming data from Spotify and Facebook. Each month, 25 talents from the INES#talent pool made it to the ranking. Congratulations to Zalagasper who made it to the top of the charts two months in a row!

What’s next? – INES#talents 2021

The names of the 71 INES#talents who will join the pool will be revealed on October 19, 2020. We will also have to say goodbye to the INES#talents from 2019 whose status will end. Follow @inesfestivals and @gigmit on Social Media to be informed of the latest news about the INES#talent programme.
