The whole process of the Warsteiner Bandcontest, from the application at gigmit, through the online voting to the live final in Berlin and finally to the Orbit Stage at RaR & RiP was an experience that was so unbelievably amazing that you have to experience it for yourself.
The performances themselves were of course absolutely amazing, but everything around it was also a huge push forward for us as newcomers: interviews with magazines, radio & TV, a film team always at our side, whilst also making new contacts and hanging out with our idols in the backstage area. 3. Rock am Ring & Rock im Park will take place June 7 – 9 2024 and the live finale on May 4 2024, so you better not plan anything 😉
The winning band grabs a cash prize of EUR 1,000.00 and plays an exclusive gig at Rock im Park and Rock am Ring 2024. Places 2-5? Each will also receive a cash prize of EUR 500.00. We have also linked the conditions of participation here.
DONOTS, Warsteiner & DreamHaus in the jury!
In addition to Warsteiner and the festival organizer DreamHaus, the members of the band DONOTS are on the jury this year. They have been making music together for almost 30 years and are currently at the peak of their career as a band. Since their formation, they have given well over 1,000 concerts in more than 21 countries and have opened for Green Day and Die Toten Hosen, among others. DONOTS are still on tour until the end of the year and are breaking their own audience records throughout Germany.
The band’s history began with their first gig at the “Scheune” youth center in Ibbenbüren near Osnabrück. “We started out in the traditional way as a school band in a garage and were always grateful for every opportunity to perform and every bit of support we got,” says singer and guitarist Ingo Knollmann.
“With the Warsteiner Band Contest, we can now support great new bands on their way and pass on our experience. We’re really looking forward to being part of it, discovering new bands and performing together on the festival weekend next year.”
Last but not least, the festival organizer DreamHaus is part of the jury. “Together with the Warsteiner Brewery, we have organized a commitment for the third time […] to create unforgettable experiences for bands and music enthusiasts.” says Marc Seemann from DreamHaus.
