Reeperbahn Festival 2022: Why you should go
Reeperbahn festival is one of the biggest showcase festivals in Germany. It is also an amazing event, combining a diverse line-up of new, international talent with the thematic diversity of a progressive music marketplace.
For now Reeperbahn Festival has developed into one of the most important gatherings for the music world. In fact, the festival combines a superabundant musical line-up with music business events. This is the place where the industry meets music-lovers. gigmit will be present at Reeperbahn Festival 2022 and we are expecting you.
gigmit showcase at Reeperbahn Festival 2022
2022 was not the first year collaboration of gigmit and RBF. The application phase for the 2022 edition opened in June and led to hundreds of applications. Following a thorough review of all the great acts who applied, we chose 3 acts to be a part of the line-up. All of them will get the chance to perform at the gigmit showcase on 21st of September at Sommersalon in the heart of the Reeperbahn in Hamburg.

LaHasna makes music “Sexytriste”
LaHasna might be one of the most promising newcomers at the moment. After playing Montreux Jazz Festival, Opera Festival and SEI Festival, the Milan-based RnB singer will open the showcase at Reeperbahn Festival 2022
LaHasna is an independent musician from Morocco, born and raised in Italy. Her music is a unique blend of international tribal, alternative r&b, electronic and underground pop sounds.

Mauvey: Distribute Love through Music
The second act will be Mauvey!
“My mission is to distribute Love, and there’s no better way to do that than through music”, says Mauvey. His music is highly energised and emotional wreck on stage, Mauvey’s goal is to create and generate love, both on and off stage.
Born in Ghana, West Africa, Mauvey grew up in the UK and Vancouver, Canada. In the past months, he played some of the most prestigious stages such as SXSW, The Great Escape showcase with gigmit. In addition, he played support slots for easy life and Snotty Nose Rez Kids, BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend, Isle of Wight Festival and many more.
Mauvey’s performance at Reeperbahn will start at 20:20. Come share the love energy with him!

Music Based on Rules and Strategies with K not K
K not K‘s music is based on the rules and strategies of chess. During the past 8 years, the band played in 38 countries at clubs, cultural stages and festivals like Nuits Sonores (FR), Printemps de Bourges (FR), Fusion (DE), Electric Castle (RO), Tallin Music Week (EE) and MENT Festival (SI). Their “Soundtrack for a Game of Chess” has been nominated ‘album of the month’ by Vice Magazine.
